Bobby Ferguson (Bobby McAllister), a native of the City of Dreams, Savannah, Georgia, and former United States Marine, attended Pepperdine University in California, where he studied Spanish history, Post Secondary Education, Admiralty and salvage law and Aviation. He was instrumental in the salvaging of the Atocha with Mel Fisher in 1985, as well as his subsequent quests. Along with his friend, (The beach bum lawyer) they raised several million dollars from happy investors to keep the successful salvage process in operation.
Although Fool’s Paradise is a novel, and the characters are fictional, they are based on actual participants and events.
